Warner and IMAX make $400 million

Dark Knight Joker Out Screen

Did you ever notice how most IMAX movies are also Warner Bros movies? Well, they are. In a quest to create 'premium cinematic entertainment' Warner and IMAX bundled their forced in 2003. Since then, Warner has released 16 titles in IMAX theaters, with a lot more to come. The counter currently stands at a respectable $400 million in IMAX tickets.

"Warner Bros. Pictures has been instrumental in bringing The IMAX Experience into mainstream," said the President of IMAX Filmed Entertainment. "They were the first studio to release a feature film in IMAX 3D, the first studio to release a live action film that had been converted into 3D, and they introduced the world to a whole new brand of original IMAX 3D programming that is both educational and entertaining."

With the blockbuster season coming up, Warner has been busy getting their IMAX movies ready again. This summer, you'll be able to catch 'Speed Racer' and 'The Dark Knight' at a bigger screen with bigger sound. And the new Harry Potter movies are already sure to get a big IMAX sister too.
