In terms of its action sequences and pacing during such scenes, Mission: Impossible II is slightly more mature than its predecessor, but what boasts in its set-pieces deters its ability as a story; it's pretty plain and simple on that front. But what it lacks in narrative its director John Woo (Face/Off) makes up for with a spectacular 20-minute finale that's pure gold for any popcorn chewing moviegoer wanting to be wowed by breathtaking stunts.
