Death Proof
8. Death Proof

8. Death Proof

Director: Quentin Tarantino
Stars: Kurt Russell, Zoe Ball, Rosario Dawson

Synopsis:
Two separate sets of voluptuous women are stalked at different times by a scarred stuntman who uses his "death proof" cars to execute his murderous plans.

Death Proof is a slight stain on an otherwise pretty excellent filmography so far from Quentin Tarantino. After breaking into the indie scene in 1992 with Reservoir Dogs then following it up with 1994's Pulp Fiction, Tarantino was the guy every aspiring filmmaker wanted to be. After his first 2 movies blew the movie world up, he followed them up with Jackie Brown then the two-part Kill Bill saga. That's a pretty stellar array of movies, so can you blame QT for wanting to make something a little fun? That's what Death Proof is. It's a fun movie that shouldn't be taken too seriously. If you're into B-movies, Death Proof will kick your ass. But if you want another Pulp-esque flick, then swerve Death Proof.
