Amazon Gives 'The Tick' a Full Season Order
Amazon Studios has announced its latest orders for full seasons based on the results of pilots to which users voted based on what they'd like to see more of.
The pilot season saw The Tick, I Love Dick, and Jean-Claude Van Johnson all get thumbs up responses from viewers, and all three have been ordered for full seasons. They will premiere on Amazon Prime Video in 2017 in the U.S., U.K., Germany, Austria, and Japan.
“These pilots were vast in scope, disruptive in tone, challenging in story and sometimes even funny,” said Joe Lewis, Head of Half-Hour Series, Amazon Studios. “It’s rewarding to see customers embrace them in such a huge way. We can’t wait to premiere these series next year on Prime Video.”
