'Aquaman' Director James Wan Chimes in on 'Batman v Superman' Debate
While promoting The Conjuring 2, director James Wan was fronted the question regarding the DCEU, to which he'll be adding with an Aquaman solo film slated for July 27, 2018.
"I think it's a world that is so difficult to control, and always expectations of fans are out of this world, right? No pun intended," Wan said regarding the backlash to Batman v Superman and how it would affect the job ahead.
"I know how hard it is, from making Conjuring 2, how much anticipation there is just from the first movie. I think you do the best you can, and tell the best story you can," Wan said. He added that Zack Snyder, with whom he is friends with, is "being very respectful" of his vision for the character.
