Ben Affleck will Write, Direct, and Star in his Solo Batman Film
At CinemaCon, the news many people have been waiting on has been confirmed, with a solo Batman film heading to screens in the next few years. Not only that, but Ben Affleck will co-write and direct the film, on top of his starring duties.
Affleck has been named a highlight of Batman v Superman, a film that few people have managed to find many highlights in at all. With enough proof on his resume to show off his directing talents, with Argo and Gone Baby Gone, this is pretty exciting news.
It has already been reported that DC Comics' Geoff Johns will co-write alongside Affleck. The film will most likely fill one of the latest untitled release dates Warner Bros. has installed into its timeline (October 5, 2018, and November 1, 2019).
Warner Bros. chief Kevin Tsujihara announced the solo film, and then listed off the ten slated DC releases along with their directors, naming Affleck alongside the Batman film.
