Billy Dee Williams Confirms "He's Not in The Last Jedi"


Whenever a new Star Wars movie comes out there is always rumors circling around about that film. Some of the rumors are realistic and some of them are plain outlandish. This one is more on the outlandish side, and it seems it has been debunked right by the source.

During the Star Wars Celebration, Billy Dee Williams crushed the hopes of many fans saying that he wasn't going to be in The Last Jedi. People were hoping for a surprise return of the beloved smuggler.

The rumor of Lando returning to the Star Wars universe was started by a screenwriter on The Force Awakens. Star Wars writer Lawrence Kasdan added on "Lando, I don’t think is finished in any way, shape, or form."

The character Lando Calrissian will be returning to the big screen next year. As Donald Glover will play a younger version of Lando in the new Han Solo film.

A lot of the theories had Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams) as the Chancellor of the New Republic. This doesn't mean he can't appear in Episode IX. Let the rumors of Lando being in Episode IX begin!
