Black Panther an Anti-Hero, According to Chadwick Boseman
With the solo Black Panther film coming soon, star Chadwick Boseman has spoken with EW on how he sees the hero of Wakanda, a community that has found itself thrust into the world of Avenging following Civil War.
“This is an anti-hero, sort of. I feel like although he is a superhero, he is a super anti-hero.”
Anti-heroes aren't a new concept, obviously, but it does open the door to a different kind of film than what we're used to in the MCU, and offers a bit of breathing room for the writers and filmmakers to create a character who can't be good all the time.
The film is slated for February 16, 2018.
