Corbin Bernsen joins 'American Gods' as Vulcan
Psych alum Corbin Bersen has been tapped for what could be a recurring role as Vulcan in the upcoming Starz adaptation American Gods, based on Neil Gaiman's award-winning series.
Vulcan is one of Mr. Wednesdays oldest allies, and lives a comfortable life harnessing his powers for a modern world. He is therefore resistant to Mr. Wednesday's plans for war.
The series is set to detail a war that's brewing between the old gods and the new ones. The new gods represent modern love of greed, technology, media, celebrity and drugs. The old gods are those of traditional, mythological roots.
Ricky Whittle plays protagonist Shadow Moon, who is hired as a bodyguard for Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane) following a lengthy stint in prison that ends on a dour note.
