Disney's 'Mulan' Starts Filming This Month
Disney's live action version of Mulan is slated to start production this month.
Mulan was one of the first Disney princess movies to breakaway from the fairy tale theme. Yifei Liu will star as Mulan. The film was originally suppose to hit theaters in 2018 and was delayed due to other projects. The film will now come out in 2019.
[/i][i]Mulan will be directed by Niki Caro (McFarland, USA). The movie will not be a musical but music will be incorporated. Mulan had its controversies early on but the drama has calmed down. Disney has confirmed all major roles will be portrayed by Chinese actors. There is currently no release date for Mulan. Also there is no word if Eddie Murphy will reprise the role of Mushu.
