Ellen Wong Joins Netflix's 'G.L.O.W.'
Ellen Wong of The Carrie Diaries has joined the upcoming Netflix series G.L.O.W. in a recurring role. She'll play opposite Alison Brie and Marc Maron in the ten episode straight-to-series first season.
Executive produced by Orange is the New Black creator Jenji Kohan and created by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch, the show is inspired by the real story of the 1980s female wrestling league.
The series will fictionalize the story of Ruth (Brie), an out-of-work, struggling actress who is thrust into the world of women's wrestling in one last ditch effort to realise her dreams. Wong will play Jenny, a pop culturally obsessed transplant from Cambodia.
