Felicity Jones joins Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's 'Inferno'
Felicity Jones has signed up to Ron Howard's Inferno, the third instalment in the director's series of films based on author Dan Brown books.
The star of The Theory of Everything and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will join the already casted Tom Hanks in Inferno.
Inferno will follow 2006’s The Da Vinci Code and 2009’s Angels and Demons. The upcoming movie will see Hanks reprise his role as Harvard symbologist Henry Langdon, who wakes up with amnesia in an Italian hospital. Jones will play the doctor who helps him recover his memory. Upon helping Langdon regain his memory, they both then team up to stop a plague connected to Dante’s Inferno.
Inferno is the fourth book in the series, with Sony skipping over the third novel, The Lost Symbol. The previous two movies in this series have a combined $1.2billion at the global box office, but both failed to capture the minds of critics and some audiences. The thriller has been scheduled for a 14th October 2016 release.
