Fox Picks Up DC TV Series 'Black Lightning'
From DC TV power producer Greg Berlanti, along with Sarah Schechter, Fox has picked up the latest project to come from the comic book publisher's stocks. Black Lightning officially has a home.
Black Lightning will join Gotham and Lucifer as the third DC series at the network. Salim and Mara Brock Akil will write the adaptation. The pilot order will be executive produced by Berlanti and Schechter.
The potential series will follow Jefferson Pierce, who hung up his costume and identity years earlier before his daughter is recruited into a local gang that pulls him back into the world of vigilantes.
