FX Boss Talks American Horror Story, Fargo, Sons of Anarchy Spin-Off

HaydnSpurrell HaydnSpurrell FX CEO John Langraf has recently opened up about the new series orders of both anthology series', American Horror Story and Fargo, while also discussing the bolstering of its television stocks.

Speaking at the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena, California, Langraf was not short on information regarding shows new and continuing. For the confirmed second season of American Crime Story, he says creator Ryan Murphy is already assembling a writing team, and the Hurricane Katrina-focused season will play like a "disaster movie".

Season 3 of Fargo, meanwhile, will be set in 2010, as recent as any Fargo output has ever been, while American Horror Story season 6 will be set in the present, with parallel stories being told via flashbacks. "It's set in the present although with echoes of the past," Langraf said. "It's set in two time periods... but principally in the present."

Meanwhile, Langraf did say that a Sons of Anarchy spin-off is being worked on by series creator Kurt Sutter. Sutter is not, however, expected to write or serve as showrunner for the show, which would focus on the Northern California motorcycle club scene.
