Geoff Johns Says DC's Cinematic Universe is 100% Connected

ZachPerilstein ZachPerilstein Disney Reporter DC's Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns confirmed that DC's cinematic universe also known as the DC Extended Universe is 100% connected.

The universe kicked off with 2013's Man of Steel directed by Zack Snyder. The universe then produced Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, and Wonder Woman (the biggest hit in the universe to date.) Plus the upcoming Justice League.

Each film has taken place after the events of another. Johns' comments about Aquaman not fully being connected were misinterpreted by fans. Johns answered a concerned fan on Twitter about the continuity. Replying "It 100% is." the tweet featured a picture of notable DC superheroes.

People have been concerned about the DC's cinematic universe due to the fact Warner Bros. is planning separate films outside of the universe. Including a Martin Scorsese-produced Joker origin film. Alternate stories that don't take place in the same universe isn't a bad idea. Similar to Superman: Red Son. Which is the story of Superman landing in the Soviet Union instead of America. Although separate stories would be good fans were concerned thinking that the DC cinematic universe would stop continuity and would end. Geoff Johns comments help but fans are still left wondering and speculating on the future of DC's cinematic universe.

Until then DC/Warner Bros. are busy at work pounding out numerous projects. The future of the universe will be decided at a later date.

Justice League hits theaters November 17, 2017.
