J.J. Abrams says the script is set for Star Wars: Episode VII

George Lucas hasn't watched the new Star Wars trailer, but will he watch the movie?

JamesArthurArmstrong JamesArthurArmstrong When the new teaser trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens landed last week, it 'broke the internet' as the phrase goes. But one man hasn't seen it yet.

The trailer which has currently amassed a total of over 50 million views on YouTube alone, has yet to seen by creator of the Star Wars franchise, George Lucas. Whilst talking to Page Six recently, Lucas said "Because it’s not in the movie theatre. I like going to the movies and watching the whole thing there. I plan to see it when it’s released.” What is interesting about that statement is the teaser trailer was released in theatres, 30 to be exact. What we take from the quote is, Lucas would much rather watch the entire movie, not an 88-second advert.

We do understand where Lucas is coming from— and to be fair— we don't exactly blame him for not being too enthralled with all this Star Wars chatter. It must be hard for Lucas to see his baby being fathered by another person. It's nice to know he is planning to see the film upon release, but when Lucas was asked if he was curious to see what J.J. Abrams has done with his galaxy, Lucas bluntly answered, "not really."

Below is another chance to see the said Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens teaser trailer. The movie is scheduled for 18th December 2015 release.
