HBO Reveals Premiere Date for 'The Young Pope'
HBO's ten episode limited drama series The Young Pope has a confirmed premiere date, set for release on Sunday, January 15 at 9PM. The second episode will air the very next night, on Monday, January 16 at the same time.
Episodes will continue to air subsequently on Sundays and Mondays. The one hour drama series is directed by Paolo Sorrentino, and tells the story of Lenny Belardo, AKA Pius XIII, the first American Pope in history. He's also very mysterious, and more contradictory than all the other leaders that surround him at the Vatican.
Jude Law plays the title role while Diane Keaton plays Sister Mary. Silvio Orlando, Scott Shepherd, Cécile de France, Javier Cámara, Ludivine Sagnier, Toni Bertorelli and James Cromwell round out the cast.
