The team behind I Am Heath Ledger, I Am Bruce Lee and I Am MLK Jr. will profile the late “Fast and Furious” star in Paramount's newest documentary.

Walker’s documentary is officially set to debut August 9 on Paramount Network (formerly Spike TV). Filmmaker, Adrian Buitenhuis, who directed I Am Heath Ledger, returns to helm an up close and personal look into the life and prolific film career of the late Paul Walker. Paramount’s documentary will feature interviews from family, friends, former cast mates and producers "who knew Paul best" along with spotlighting Paul's unheralded efforts as a humanitarian and environmentalist through his non-profit organization Reach Out Worldwide.

I have no doubt this documentary is in good hands as Network Entertainment’s I Am Bruce Lee and I Am Heath Ledger are outstanding Documentaries and come highly recommended.

As someone whose love for the Fast and the Furious franchise dates all the way back to 2001 (I saw it four times in the theater), I can say it was all because of Paul. Pick any of his previous works - The Skulls, Varsity Blues, Joy Ride, She’s All That, Running Scared, to one of cinema’s most gorgeous underwater shot movies to date - Into the Blue; Walker bestowed a lifetime of memories through his magnetic presence and million dollar smile.

For those who weren’t quite sold on Walker’s abilities as a ‘serious’ actor, I urge you to check out Eric Heisserer’s (Arrival) Hurricane Katrina drama HOURS. Walker’s performance is nothing short of Oscar-worthy in Heisserer’s tense one-man disaster drama. You’ll just have to trust me on that one.

It’s hard to believe we’re coming up on five years since Paul left us. He is missed.
