Jamie Dornan in Talks For 'Robin Hood: Origins'

NadiaA71 Irish actor Jamie Dornan is having a rather busy year, appearing in several different film genres from historical/war films (Anthropoid, The Seige of Jadotville) to a thriller (The 9th Life of Louis Drax). And let's not forget about Fifty Shades Darker. Now, according to Variety, he is in talks to star in a Robin Hood film.

Robin Hood: Origins is an upcoming Lionsgate project with Taron Egerton (Kingsman) cast as Robin Hood who has just returned to England from the Crusades, and became a vigilante hero who fought corruption with a group of outlaws. Eve Hewson (Bridge of Spies) will play Maid Marian and Jamie Foxx as the 'battle-hardened but war-weary' Little John. If the negotiations are successful Dornan will be cast as Will Scarlett, a member of Little John's Merry Men.

Peaky Blinders director Otto Bathurst is set to direct the film, which is scripted by Joby Harolrd (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword). Production will probably begin in January.
