Lakeith Stanfield and Michael Shannon are the latest to join Rian Johnson’s Knives Out!

Less than a week ago, Knives Out went from being a little-known murder mystery starring Daniel Craig, to being a little-known murder mystery also starring Chris Evans, Lakeith Stanfield and Michael Shannon. Sold?

Variety reports Lakeith Stanfield and Michael Shannon are the latest to board Johnson's murder mystery. Sources confirm Craig and Stanfield will play detectives while Shannon and Evans characters have not been disclosed.

Johnson’s script is said to be a modern day mystery inspired by Agatha Christie’s classic whodunit style. Since plot details are being kept under lock and key, one can only assume Johnson has whipped up something pretty damn special with Craig, Evans, Stanfield, and Shannon collaborating. It's also safe to assume Knives Out is not done casting, which is insane considering any one of these actors alone could carry a contemporary murder mystery helmed by the former Breaking Bad director.

Production is slated to begin November in anticipation of Craig’s early 2019 shooting schedule for Bond 25. But first, Johnson and producing partner Ram Bergman will seek a distributor.

Stay tuned as we hear more!
