Bradley Cooper always manages to surprise

You can’t put Bradley Cooper in a box. He might have once been the pretty guy. Then he was the guy from The Hangover — girls would probably argue he was still the pretty guy. But then came Silver Linings Playbook. And just as his choice of characters go, when you think you know his character in The Place Beyond the Pines, you don’t.

Cooper plays a cop who wants to do the right thing — don’t they all initially? But after an incident I won’t spoil for you, his work and private life is turned upside down. His wife is played by Rose Byrne, although you wouldn’t know from the posters and trailers. Probably because she’s not really important in the overarching story.
