Mandy Patinkin Joins 'The Queen of Spain', Also Starring Penelope Cruz
Homeland star Mandy Patinkin has joined Fernando Trueba's The Queen of Spain in a supporting role. The film stars Penelope Cruz in a Spanish-language film centering on a famous film star who flees 50s Hollywood in order to return to her Madrid roots.
Patinkin will play an American screenwriter working on the film starring Cruz's character, Both actors will play fictitious characters, Cruz's character being an imaginary actress who appeared in the director and actresses previous collaboration, The Girl of Your Dreams.
Filming begins Feb 29 with no release day as yet.
