Mark Millar's Comic Book 'Jupiter's Legacy' Could be Headed for TV

HaydnSpurrell HaydnSpurrell Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura has teased a potential upcoming project in a chat with THR, revealing that the is working on adapting comic book writer Mark Millar and artist Frank Quitely's superhero comic Jupiter's Legacy for film or television.

"I have a project with Mark Millar, who wrote [the comic that became] Kingsman: The Secret Service, that is a superhero project: Jupiter's Legacy. What attracted me to it was it's not repeating what everybody else has done. It's not yet set up at a studio. Its universe is so expansive that it's, in some ways, more conducive to a television treatment. I'm doing it either way."

There's no studio at the present time, but the series might be better suited to the small screen. Bonaventura is currently promoting Deepwater Horizon, which stars Mark Wahlberg, Kurt Russell, Dylan O'Brien, and arrives September 30.
