New Details Surface for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Thanks to an exclusive from JoBlo, some new, mild information has surfaced regarding this years Star Wars universe spin-off, which includes the expected extent of Darth Vader's presence.
Among the information is clarification on a new droid in the film that originates as an Imperial robot, reprogrammed for the purpose of the Rebels. Appearance-wise, he has long arms, two legs, and is darkly coloured (no clarification on grey or black). It is described as being a change of pace from the protocol droid designs we've become accustomed to.
Regarding Darth Vader, it seems that rumours of his appearance have been understated, and that he will play a larger presence, possibly a central antagonistic role (which will sell tickets).
On a lesser note, there will be a black costume design for Stormtroopers along with a TIE fighter redesign, to help give Rogue One some added authenticity. Rogue One hits theaters December 16.
