Peyton List joins the cast of ‘Cobra Kai’

Will she join team Miyagi-Do or Cobra Kai?

Peyton List is set to join the second season of YouTube Premium’s Karate Kid sequel Cobra Kai!

Sources at Deadline confirm the 20-year-old Diary of a Wimpy Kid star and former Disney darling will play a troubled teen who is new to the Valley. List, will join Cobra Kai’s standout young ensemble likely to fall somewhere under the banner of team Miguel Diaz (Xolo Mariduena) by way of Sensei Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) or team Robbie Keene (Tanner Buchanan) and Samantha LaRusso (Mary Mouser) by way of Sensei Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio).

YouTube’s half-hour, ten episode sequel series first premiered on May 2018 begging the seemingly simple question: What in the heck are Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso up to today? While much has changed after thirty-four years, some things have not. Including a rivalry that’s reignited after Johnny decides to resurrect a brand made synonymous with “Mercy is for the weak” – the Cobra Kai dojo.

For those who have yet to catch Cobra Kai - and I highly recommend it - I will say the one month trial to YouTube premium is worth taking advantage of. I will go as far as saying the entire show is worth the $11.99 Premium subscription!

Production for the second season is currently underway and will premiere 2019.
