'Sherlock' Season 4 to Ring in the New Year with Premiere Date Announcement
Sherlock is set to return on January 1, 2017 with the premiere of season 4, bringing back Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman in what may prove to be the final season of the series.
The Six Thatchers is the title of the first episode, while episode 2 is titled The Lying Detective. The new episodes have been a long time coming given the two headlining stars' busy schedules since moving well and truly into the feature film realms.
Both stars are a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so whether Sherlock is on its way out, fans will be at least hoping it goes out impressively.
