Stan Lee, Marvel Comics Legend Dead at 95

GregHarmon GregHarmon Managing Editor Stan Lee, the co-creator of Spider-Man, the Avengers, the X-Men, the Hulk and the Fantastic Four, is dead at the age of 95.

Sources report Lee was rushed by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center from his Hollywood Hills home, where he was pronounced dead.

Lee, the Godfather of the Marvel Universe, along with artist Jack Kirby first wrote The Fantastic Four in 1961. The iconic legend would go on to create Spider-Man, Black Panther, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men, Iron Man and The Avengers, among many other Marvel properties.

He was inducted into the comic book industry's Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1995. Lee received a National Medal of Arts in 2008.

Lee's upcoming work will be seen in Spider-Man: Far From Home, Dark Phoenix, Avengers 4, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
No doubt, this one stings. He will be missed.
