'Star Wars Rebels' Showrunner Confirms Captain Rex in 'Return of the Jedi'
Star Wars Rebels showrunner Dave Filoni confirmed that Captain Rex was around during 1983's The Return of the Jedi.
Filoni confirmed this popular fan theory during his panel at Star Wars Celebration in Orlando. He mentions Captain Rex being in a camouflage outfit. This leads us to believe he was apart of Han Solo's raiding party on Endor. Filoni could always be just toying with us but that seems unlikely.
Especially when the Star Wars universe is all connected.
As Star Wars Rebels reaches closer to The New Hope we will see a lot happening. So Captain Rex's true fate may not be revealed until the end of Rebels.
