Starz's 'Black Sails' Cruises into Hulu's Library
Streamer Hulu has acquired starz's hit pirate drama series Black Sails, as part of a deal with Lionsgate which sees seasons 1-3 of the show cross into its library. The fourth and final season will be available following the show's conclusion.
20 years prior to the Robert Louis Stevenson classic novel Treasure Island, Black Sails follows the most feared pirate Captain Flint, played by Toby Stephens. The fourth season, which consists of ten episodes, concludes on April 1.
The first three seasons saw an average viewership of 3.6 million across multiple platforms per episode, Starz reports. Multiple Emmy nominations have gone its way, and victories for Outstanding Sound Editing, and Outstanding Special and Visual Effects.
