Another farce from the Academy happened two years previous at the 69th Academy Awards. The two-and-a-half hour and notoriously slow paced The English Patient nabbed the best picture award when it should of gone to the Coen Brothers' Fargo. I don't think anyone would argue with that. Fargo is an overall better movie with twists and turns and excellent performances from Frances MacDormand and William H. Macy.
