'The Jungle Book' Makes it $900 Million Worldwide

HaydnSpurrell HaydnSpurrell The Jungle Book has passed the $900 million mark, the third Disney film to do so this year following Captain America: Civil War and Zootopia.

The studio reports that the film has made it to $349.9 million domestically and $549.9 million internationally as of Thursday. It is also the biggest ever release in India ever, earning $36.8 million, and is the top film of 2016 in the U.K and Ireland with $64.7 million.

The family film, directed by Jon Favreau, is the 39th film ever to reach the $900 million mark, while Zootopia recently became the 26th to hit $1 billion. A sequel has been penciled in since before it's release.
