Give me a lifetime and it may not be enough for me to prepare for and accept a comedy featuring Thor, the god of thunder. Yes, I jumped onto that small wagon of whiners that feel Thor: Ragnarok should have been a little more restrained instead of trying to be too funny. I am acquainted with director Taika Waititi’s quirky sensibilities. What We Do In The Shadows; now that’s a funny film – witty, taught and focused.

Thor must save Asgard from the impending Ragnarok (meaning the total destruction of Asgard). Yet he is stuck on the planet of Sakaar. Marvel adapted elements from the comic "Planet Hulk." The film is one big cosmic adventure and highlights the comedic and more colorful side of Thor. Chris Hemsworth reprises his role as Thor, Tom Hiddleston returns as Loki, and Mark Ruffalo joins the Thor franchise fold as The Hulk.

Jurassic Park star Sam Neill has joined the cast of Thor: Ragnarok in what is reportedly a small role. — “I’m not really allowed to say this and I can’t tell you what it is…I did a couple of days on Thor just before I came over here,” Neill tells Shortlist (via EW). “If I say anything else, Marvel’s secret agents — and they are lethal — will come and get me and probably my children, as well.”

Mark Ruffalo teases Hulk in 'Thor: Ragnarok'

The Hulk is set to team up with Thor in 2017's Thor: Ragnarok, and Ruffalo is now teasing that role, albeit briefly, ahead of joining production. — "I haven't started filming, but I've been prepping for it and I'm really excited about it. I think we're going to do some really cool stuff," Ruffalo tells E!. "We're going to see some new stuff with the Hulk. We're going to see some new stuff with [Bruce] Banner. We're definitely going to see some new stuff for poor old Thor."

According to Umberto Gonzalez, founder of Heroic Hollywood, Marvel may be favouring Kenneth Branagh to direct the third Thor movie, Ragnarok. Whilst speaking to JoBlo, Gonzalez said, "I was hearing that Marvel wanted Kenneth Branagh back for Thor 3. But, he just got an offer to direct 'Murder on the Orient Express' at Fox. So, I don't know if it's going to happen or not.. They're thinking about bringing him back into the fold."
