Tim Burton Will Direct Disney's Live-Action Remake of 'Dumbo'

JamesArthurArmstrong JamesArthurArmstrong Disney have announced that veteran film director Tim Burton will helm their live-action retelling of their classic animated feature, Dumbo.

This new re-imaging of 'Dumbo' continues the run of form of Disney remaking their much loved animated movies into contemporary, live-action movies. Burton helmed the remake of 'Alice in Wonderland' back in 2010, which was followed by other remakes like 'Maleficent' and the upcoming 'Cinderella.' There are also other remakes of 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'The Jungle Book' in the works, along with a sequel to 'Alice in Wonderland.'

Dumbo currently doesn't have a release date, but has been in the works for sometime with 'Transformers' screenwriter Ehren Kruger penning the script, and Justin Springer producing, who worked on 'Tron: Legacy' and 'Oblivion.' Its said the movie with incorporate live-action and CGI animation. Burton is currently working on Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.
