Tom Holland in Talks to Star Opposite Daisy Ridley in YA Adaptation 'Chaos Walking'

HaydnSpurrell HaydnSpurrell Doug Liman is set to adapt young adult novel Chaos Walking for the big screen, and despite the love for the genre having diminished a little in recent years, there's enough talent behind this one to draw some attention.

Daisy Ridley, who broke out in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is in the female lead, while the MCU's Spider-Man himself, Tom Holland, is now in talks to star opposite her.

Holland is in talks for the boy at the center of the story, named Todd Hewitt. He is living in a world where all women have been killed off by a germ and those that remain can hear and see into each other's thoughts.

The boy flees with his dog, and encounters a strange girl on the road. Charlie Kaufman worked ont he script with Jamie Linden. The writer of the novel itself is Patrick Ness, who wrote the novel A Monster Calls as well as the screenplay. The film has been a critical success.
