Tristin Mays Joins CBS' Series Reboot of 'MacGyver'
Tristin Mays of Vampire Diaries fame has joined on as series regular alongside Lucas Till and George Eads in CBS' upcoming fall drama MacGyver.
The series is a reimagining of the 1985 show about a resourceful and ingenious agent who improvises his way out of tight situations using every day items.
Mays joins Sandrine Holt and Justin Hires as the final post-pilot casting. The project has undergone a revamp since its first inception.
Mays plays Riley Davis, an unpredictable computer hacker with a chip on her shoulder. She's somewhat pleased to be hired for MacGyver's team as opposed to the alternative - prison - but she isn't all that interested in showing her gratitude.
The series premieres September 23.
