Upcoming DC Animated Film 'Teen Titans: The Judas Contract' First Images, Cast List

HaydnSpurrell HaydnSpurrell Teen Titans: The Judas Contract is a DC property that fans have been waiting a long time for, particularly given that it was announced a number of years back without anything coming of it. Based on the 1980s classic storyline, it will serve as a sequel to Justice League vs. Teen Titans, the most recent in the long line of DC Animated features.

THR reports the first casting announcements for the film, which include Christina Ricci as Terra and Miguel Ferrer as Deathstroke. Sean Maher plays Dick Grayson (Nightwing), Kari Wahlgren as Starfire, jake T. Austin as Blue Beetle, Taissa Farmiga as Raven, Brandon Soo Hoo as Beast Boy, and Stuart Allan as Robin. The script was written by Ernie Altbacker, while Sam Liu will direct (having directed the aforementioned film as well as The Killing Joke).

The Judas Contract was originally a four-part series that ended in 1984 written by Marv Wolfman and with art by George Perez. The team faced up against Deathstroke, as well as a traitor amongst their ranks who partnered with the famed mercenary to defate the team.

The film will undoubtedly feature some distinct changes from the original, given that Cyborg is no longer a member of the Teen Titans and Damian Wayne did not exist in the 80s as part of the team.

The Justice League vs Teen Titans film only related to the Justice League in name. Mostly, it served to introduce the Teen Titans into the DC Animated Universe with a title that might sell more copies. It must have worked, and fans won't complain that they're finally getting the adaptation they've been waiting for. (Note, that was said for The Killing Joke too, and look how that turned out).
