Viacom Network, Spike to Be Rebranded as The Paramount Network
Viacom CEO Bob Bakish is set to reveal new strategies in his effort to turn around struggling Viacom networks.
Spike is rumored to be rebranded as The Paramount Network. Which would give the channel multiple options for programming, instead of the normal 16 hours of Cops reruns. Spike's highest rated show is Lip Sync Battle.
Bakish is hoping Spike can be transformed into a more gender balanced channel. The network is looking for more unscripted series. The network also has event series like Tut and Waco.
It will be interesting to see if Viacom can turn Spike around. The Paramount Network name might just do the trick!
