Ron Howard and Lovecraft

featurette from the movie Angels and Demons

about this featurette

If there’s one director with a steady stream of interesting films the last ten years it’s Ron Howard, who is releasing Angels and Demons this year. The next project he is eyeing is The Strange Adventures of H.P. Lovecraft, about one of the most influential horror writers of the last century.

Based on the book, which will be released next month, it borrows elements of Lovecrafts life, who died in 1937. His family battled with mental illness and Lovecraft suffered from a writer’s block. His darkest nightmare becomes reality when he comes across a book that puts a curse on him and lets the evils he conjures up loose on the world.

You can find more info about the book at www.lovecrafcomic.com.

Angels and Demons featurette (0:50 minutes) added to the Cultjer video catalog on March 26th, 2009.
