George Clooney says his role in The Descendants is about timing and age

George Clooney talks about The Descendants at the Telluride Film Festival. He says he would take any role Alexander Payne would give him, based on his track record. But the script was great and he thought it was the right time to do it. "Sometimes acting gigs are about timing. You have to be sort of the right age to do them. And the right place in your life to do them."

George Clooney also talks about how Alexander Payne is able to turn things very quickly, from very funny to very sad. "This is just one of those, you're happy to be a part of."
