Keira Knightley on the intensity of getting the creature in A Dangerous Method

Keira Knightley: I play Sabina Spielrein, who was a patient of Doctor Jung. She was the first patient that he used, what was called the Talking Cure, on. Which was a theory, a kind of method that Freud had kind of come up with.

She's suffering from what is diagnosed as hysteria. So she's having hysterical episodes.

That strange line in playing her, of getting this creature, that was very difficult. That was very intense. And could be horrendous to people. And yet always playing it with that idea that she's ill. And that she is of course a victim.

Keira Knightley also talks about how Sabina Spielrein thinks she's vile, filthy and corrupt. About finding the costume. Jung's denial of their relationship. If it was a sane love. How she researched the role of Sabina Spielrein. The Russian accent she did in the movie. She talks about Viggo Mortensen playing Sigmund Freud. The start of psychoanalysis. Discovering a new treatment. The whole process of the film. And working with director David Cronenberg.
