There has been an ongoing battle between the new Terminator and Transformers 2. Both directors, Michael Bay and McG, made some remarks about each other’s movies. For me, McG’s last remark made the most sense.
He said: “I think Transformers is a terrific picture, but that's a picture whose genesis is in a toy. They're sort of more colorful and optimistic and the pictures are sort of break dancing and flips and backspins. But ours is a very different, real world.”
For me, this is one of the reason’s I’m more skewed towards Terminator Salvation this summer. But the question remains. Can McG, also the director of the Charlie’s Angels movies, handle the Terminator franchise. He isn’t a household name, like Michael Bay. Well, the second Terminator Salvation trailer looks promising.
