Walt Disney Picture's 2016 Lineup is headlined by Alice, Moana, and Rogue One

ZachPerilstein ZachPerilstein Disney Reporter After a successful year at box office, will Disney's 2016 box office line up bring them more box office success?

January 29th : The Finest Hours - (Chris Pine,Casey Affleck) Based on a true story, about a rescue mission in 1952 off the Cape Cod coast after two oil tankers are destroyed by the treacherous winter winds and how a little motor boat crew heroically saves almost all of the crewmen.

March 4th: Zootopia- (Jason Bateman, Ginnifer Goodwin) In an urban city that was created by animals for animals. Officer Judy Hopps enlists herself in the Zootopia Police Department to solve a missing otter case. Along the way she discovers an unlikely ally in an artist named Nick Wilde.

April 15th : The Jungle Book- (Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley) It's the live action remake of The Jungle Book with all the classic characters, Mowgli, Baloo, Kaa, and King Louie.

April 22nd: Born in China- A Disneynature film about animals in China

May 6th: Captain America: The Civil War- (Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr.) What happens when a new government law tears apart the friendship of two Avenger pals? A Civil War between most of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

May 27th: Alice Through The Looking Glass- (Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway) Tim Burton's unique take on Alice in Wonderland was a smash hit. Will his adaption of Lewis Carrol's "Through the Looking Glass" garner the same success?

June 17th: Finding Dory- (Ellen DeGeneres, Albert Brooks) Pixar will be taking us back to the big blue world. This is the long awaited sequel to 2003's Finding Nemo. This time the little comedic blue fish is the one to get lost not the clown fish!

July 1st: The BFG - (Ruby Barnhill, Mark Rylance) The whimsical story from Roald Dahl will be retold by Steven Spielberg, who will be directing the film. The story is set around a young girl Sophie and the BFG (The Big Friendly Giant) who need to stop man eating giants from invading the human world.

August 12th: Pete's Dragon - (Oakes Fegley, Bryce Dallas Howard) It's a live action- animated remake of the 1977's Pete's Dragon. It will be a fantasy comedy telling the tale of Pete and his dragon.

TBA in 2016: Queen of Katwe- (Lupita Nyong'o) An ESPN film about the life of Phiona Mutesi, an Ugandan chess prodigy who becomes a Woman Candidate Master after her performance at the World Chess Olympiads.

November 4th: Doctor Strange- (Benedict Cumberbatch)This film will mark the fourteenth installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film will be based off of the comic book of the same name.

November 23rd: Moana- (Auli'i Cravalho, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) A young girl named Moana sets sail in the South Pacific to find a fabled and mythical island, during her voyage she teams up with a hero, a demi-god named Maui.

December 16th: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (Felicity Jones, Diego Luna) The epic story from a galaxy far far way. About a group of promising Rebels trying to steal the plans for the Empire's new weapon the Death Star.
