Walt Disney Pictures Find Their Star for 'The Nutcracker and the Four Realms'
Walt Disney Pictures has been moving along with the production of The Nutcracker and the Four Realms.
Interstellar star Mackenzie Foy has been tapped to play the lead role of Clara in Disney's Nutcracker adaption. The film will be based on 1816 story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King . The story is about Clara taking care of her Christmas toy Nutcracker doll which comes alive and defeats a crazy Mouse King.
Lasse Hallström will direct the film from Ashleigh Powell's script. Mark Gordon is producing and Lindy Goldstein is executive producing.
Mackenzie Foy has had roles in Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 and Part 2. Her recent role in Interstellar earned her a nomination for a Critics Choice award.
