Will 'Westworld' Introduce Medieval World and Roman World?
The original film from 1973 featured DELOS, a theme park consisting of three worlds; Westworld, Medieval World, and Roman World. While there are plenty of secrets surrounding HBO's series, we may have been given a look into future and whether the show will incorporate these worlds later on.
Production designer Zack Grobler has been asked about the possibility, and he said that "for the first season, we only explore the West World. There's talk about in the future seasons, if there's more, that there will be a different world. But we're not sure what it will be yet."
It looks like discussions have been had about the potential for expansion on the series, so that's an exciting prospect. Having seen the premiere, it'd be something to see what they can do with different set designs given how gorgeously the wild west has been realised.
Showrunner Jonathan Nolan has also responded to a similar question, though he was coy. “I would assume nothing. We’ve got an awful lot of material to cover just with Westworld, but you want to stay tuned.”
