Universal and Legendary sign with IMAX for 15 more films

‘Star Wars: Rogue One’, ‘Captain America: Civil War’, and More Will Get IMAX Releases

JamesArthurArmstrong JamesArthurArmstrong IMAX and Disney have renewed their contract which will see them working together through to 2017. The deal will cover upcoming releases from Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar.

This multi-picture deal will take effect this year and continue through to 2017. Greg Foster, senior executive VP of IMAX Corp. and CEO of IMAX Entertainment, said in a statement, "For IMAX, this deal represents a next step towards creating a diversified slate, which offers moviegoers a broad range of highly innovative and engaging entertainment to be experienced in IMAX theatres."

• Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (5th May 2017)

• Thor: Ragnarok (2nd November 2017)

pixar

• Finding Dory (17th June 2016)

• Toy Story 4 (16th June 17)

others

• The Finest Hours (9th October 2015)

• The Jungle Book (15th April 2016)

• Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass (27th May 2016)

• Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (7th July 2017)
