Aasif Mandvi Joins 'Mr. Robot', 'A Series of Unfortunate Events'
Actor Aasif Mandvi will play recurring roles in Netflix's upcoming adaptation A Series of Unfortunate Events, from author Lemony Snicket, and USA's Mr. Robot.
In Unfortunate Events, Mandvi will play the eccentric Uncle Monty, who the Baudelaire children are sent to live with. The series tells the story of the orphaned children at the hands of the villainous Count Olaf, played by Neil Patrick Harris. Mandvi will play the Uncle as he searches for their fortune.
In Mr. Robot he will play a special agent named Jesse who is described as a big of a 'dog.' Mandvi comes from HBO's The Brink, where he wrote, produced and co-starred.
