Brie Larson in Talks for 'Captain Marvel'
Marvel's casting department may well be on another winner, as reports have emerged that Room star Brie Larson is in early talks for the role of Carol Danvers, also known as Captain Marvel.
With the film set for a 2019 release, there's no director as yet attached to the project. MCU chief Kevin Feige has however indicated that there would be news on that front by the end of the summer. Guardians of the Galaxy co-writer Nicole Perlman and Inside Out cowriter Meg LeFauve are writing the script. With Larson's name attached to this, anticipation is likely to skyrocket.
The actress is coming of an Oscar victory for her performance in Room, and a role in Captain Marvel would take her all the way to becoming a household name. Captain Marvel is slated for March 8, 2019.
