Disney's "It's a Small World" Film Finds Writers
"It's a Small World" debuted at the 1964 World's Fair and it showcased what WED Enterprises (Now Walt Disney Imagineering) could do. Now, along with many other Disney Parks attraction, it's getting the big screen treatment.
"It's a Small World" is about a salute to the children of the world. It's the happiest cruise that ever sailed. It also comes with the iconic theme song, which was written by the Sherman brothers.
This could be what the story is about, taking an excerpt out from the classic song.
"It's a world of laughter, a world of tears, It's a world of hopes and a world of fears There's so much that we share that it's time we're aware It's a small world after all"
Disney has assigned writers Tim Rasmussen and Vince Di Meglio (Marmaduke) to the film. Jon Turtletaub will be directing and producing along with "LEGO Movie" producer Dan Lin. Jon Eirich is exec producing.
