Filming Begins on the J.A. Bayona-Directed 'Jurassic World 2'
Jurassic World was always getting a sequel. It earned $1.67 billion at the box office, and now production has begun on the untitled follow-up, which has existed under the basic moniker of Jurassic World 2 for over a year now.
Bryce Dallas Howard posted a photo from the set to confirm filming, as it aims for its June 22, 2018 release date. Chris Pratt returns as Owen, and Dallas Howard plays Clair, both returning from the first film. James Cromwell, Ted Levine, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Justice Smith, and Daniella Pineda all join the franchise.
