Game of Thrones' Ian McShane Hints at Season 6 Role
With season 6 of the hit HBO show heading into uncharted territory both for fans of the show and of the book, Ian McShane is one of many new faces with no name beside his picture just yet.
There's plenty of mystery about 2016's helping of Game of Thrones. Whether fans like it or not, the show will skip past George R.R. Martin's groundbreaking book series and continue the story without the source material.
Speaking with Pop Goes the News, McShane dropped a clue as to who he is playing for fans to stew over: "I'll give you one hint. I am responsible for bringing somebody back that you think you're never going to see again. I'll leave it at that."
It might be more helpful to list off the names that haven't perished in the bloodthirsty series. There are plenty of characters who have met their end, though only a handful that may just return to the series.
Jon Snow is one particular name that comes to mind, though the Lord Commander might be left in the grave a little while longer. There's also Sandor Clegane, The Hound, who was rather ambiguously left bleading out at the end of season 5.
So there's more theorizing to come for anxious Thrones' fans. Hopefully, the wait is worth it.
